Rodrigo “Rod” Marin has over 40 years of experience specializing in life, disability, group benefits, and property and casualty insurance to help reduce clients’ risk exposure. Rod earned a BA in Industrial Arts from Cal State Los Angeles and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, where he distinguished himself as an elite fencer on the All Army and Armed Forces teams, even competing internationally, including at the 1977 World University Games. After retiring from fencing in 1981, he spent six years teaching vocational wood shop and earned a master’s degree in education. Transitioning into financial services, Rod became an active community leader, contributing to the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, founding the Hispanic Contractor’s Association, and serving on various insurance and civic boards. A tennis enthusiast, he also served as President of the San Antonio Tennis Association and created the Free Enterprise Speaker Series to promote entrepreneurship in higher education.
